Hear Me Speak

Mentors in Measurement: Student Affairs Assessment Leaders Structured Conversation

I worked with an incredible team to create and facilitate this webinar as part of the Student Affairs Assessment Leaders Structured Conversation series. We kicked off the summer series with a great discussion about teaching assessment to students and colleagues. *You will need to log in as a guest and (possibly) download new software from Blackboard Elluminate to listen to the recording.

Learning is Not A Sprint: An Afternoon with the Authors

I was invited by NASPA to host a webinar featuring Darby Roberts and Kathy Collins, the authors of Learning is Not A Sprint: Assessing and Documenting Student Leader Learning in Cocurricualr Involvement. We had a fantastic conversation about the importance of assessment work in student affairs, including how to get started on assessment projects, how to get support from colleagues and how to best share assessment results.

Student Affairs Live: The Unsession

Throughly enjoyed getting to plaly with Joe Ginese and Mike Hamilton on the first Student Affairs Live unsession. Be prepared for lots of laughter, ill timed sound effects, a little ranting, a lot of ideas and some great questions.

Student Affairs Live with Ed Cabellon

I had a fantastic time chatting with my good friend Ed Cabellon on Student Affairs Live discussing assessment planning in student affairs. Ed and his team (thanks Mike Hamilton!) know how to make a Canadian feel right at home.

Durham Region Art of Transition Awards

I was approached by the Durham Region Art of Transition awards to speak (read: wax poetic, ramble, carry on, etc.) about what creativity means to me in my own professional life and for my students.
